A gray bird landed on a blinding street, distracting the dog who wanted to take the photographer’s camera between his jaws. It takes just an instant to ruin a roll of undeveloped film. Light singes the child’s back and outstretched arms, makes foam of his blonde hair and pedaling feet. |
The dog on the right was deciding whether to make friends or to challenge me until the bird distracted him.
