The hat is from the first Vogue Knitting on the Go Hats and Caps book.
The whole project is part of my effort to use up bits and pieces out of
the stash. It's almost embarrassing to admit how long I've had
that yarn. Modeled by our young friend, Rowan. |

I had a bag full of wool socks, worn out and far beyond mending but such
great socks! I felted them and cut out the shaggy bits and with a
little scrounging I retrieved enough fabric from two pairs to make a top
for a 14" pillow form. |

This was a project with a surprise ending. It started as
a throw in Fiesta La Boheme, Stargazer colorway. After two skeins
it wasn't the right length or width for a throw so it turned into a
skirt. Looks pretty festive. Modeled by my daughter, Kathryn
Barcus |

Matt's birthday sweater. It's very warm . The hat
is one strand of handspun yak hair with two of alpaca. Matt is
known to a group of his friends as Yakboy. I have no idea why.
The sweater is wool, alpaca, and mohair. Modeled by my son,
Matthew Hammond |
